Meet the Winners
Join Arizona's entrepreneurs, business and community leaders as we celebrate success! MITEFPHX provides an exclusive opportunity for you to meet and learn from the Arizona Commerce Authority's Arizona Innovation Challenge first 2011 winners, the recipients of a portion of $1.5 million from the State of Arizona to speed development and the commercial launch of promising technology.
THE PROGRAM
The winning proposals showed each company’s ability to attract investment, create wealth and employment. The event was hosted by James Goulka, Managing Director of Arizona Technology Investor Forum (ATIF). The Arizona Commerce Authority (ACA) leaders shared insights about the Arizona Innovation Challenge program and how winning companies were selected. Participants had the opportunity to meet with members of the ACA, including Don Cardon, CEO, Sandra Watson, COO and Brian Sherman, Director of Business Development. Each of the winners of Arizona's Innovation Challenge will share their current pitch and highlight how they plan to use the funds to advance their organizations.

Over 100 companies’ submitted proposals the review committee selected the final eight winner in March. Each winner receives between $100,000 and $250,000.
